Birth Doula Services

For many years, women have surrounded women during childbirth to offer comfort and guidance. These women now have a name, a "doula." A doula provides continuous physical (non-medical), emotional, and informational guidance to the mother and her partner during labor and birth.

What can we do for you?

We offer a free consultation so you can decide if you would like to hire us.

  • Two prenatal visits to assess your needs and to become better acquainted with one another as well as a mini childbirth class session including comfort measures,
  • Phone and/or text, e-mail contact to address any issues or concerns or to just talk about your pregnancy,
  • Access to our lending library of books and videos,
  • 24-hour on-call services two weeks before your due date and until the birth of your baby,
  • Guarantee of a backup doula who you will know and who will know you,
  • Physical, emotional, and informational guidance during your labor and birth,
  • Written birth story,
  • Video and/or photos of your birth (if you desire),
  • A home visit after the birth of your baby.

Postpartum Doula Services

Postpartum Doula Consultation (One time visit)

We will visit you in your home after the birth of your baby to discuss your birth experience and address any needs or concerns you may have while you recover from childbirth and begin your journey to parenthood. We will make sure that you are adjusting well after childbirth both physically and mentally. If we feel you may need additional support, we will refer you to the proper individuals. We want you to feel your best so that you can have a wonderful bonding experience with your new baby!

Postpartum Doula Care

Non-medical physical, emotional, and informational support after the birth of a baby in the mother's home. This includes:

  • Help mom care for her postpartum body so she can mother her baby more effectively and have a better bonding experience,
  • Offer massage to mom if desiered,
  • Listen to the birth story and discuss any feelings or emotions mom may be experiencing,
  • Support partner through transition to new role, help siblings/other family members adjust to the precence of new baby,
  • Help and assist with breastfeeding or bottle feeding
  • Help care for the new baby such as bathing, diapering, circumcision care, etc.,
  • Demonstrate soothing techniques for baby, 
  • Care for baby and/or siblings while mom rests, 
  • Screen visitors/phone calls if desired.

Household support will include:

  • Light meal and snack preparation, light housekeeping,
  • Baby's Laundry,
  • Grocery shopping,
  • Errands.

Additional tasks as needed.
